Athletic type shorts and slacks are best for moving through day-to-day actions, but it comes down to anything you feel the most comfortable. These activities help ease communication and are so much fun while in cottage or the berth during resting periods or rainy days. Multiple pairs, if you have them, are perfect. It is just unsafe in a athletic environment. So one or two pairs for water-related activities and days away are adequate. A pair of galoshes or rain boots is consistently advisable.
